Cohen suffers from Gracile Syndrome an incredibly rare genetic condition. He is the only child in NSW with the condition. GRACILE stands for the condition's characteristic features: growth retardation, aminoaciduria, cholestasis, iron overload, lactic acidosis, and early death.
Cohen also suffers from Mitochondrial Disease, mild liver dysfunction, renal tubular dysfunction and is gastrostomy fed. Cohen has a very small stature. He is 65cm. At 2 ½ years old, he is the size of a 3 month old.
