The Connect 2026 community is built on connection, collaboration and people coming together to make a meaningful impact. That’s why we’re honoured to have Rhombus Enterprises supporting Mates on a Mission (MOAM) through Connect 2026.

Why Support Mates on a Mission?

When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, families often find themselves living from appointment to appointment, treatment to treatment, and day to day. In those moments, what many families crave most isn’t something extravagant.

At Mates on a Mission, that’s exactly what we help make possible.

For more than 20 years, MOAM has been creating unforgettable experiences for children facing life-threatening illness and their families. These experiences provide families with the opportunity to step away from the realities of treatment and focus on what matters most – making memories together.

MOAM is not a one-and-done charity, either.

The families we support become part of our community long term  they become “Mates” for life. We continue to walk alongside families through both the highs and the heartbreaks, providing ongoing connection, support and care – what true mateship is all about.

Our Shared Goal

Through the generosity of Connect 2026 and the Rhombus Enterprises community, we’re aiming to raise $25,000 to support future MOAM Moments experiences and help bring to life MOAM’s long-term vision – a dedicated MOAM Retreat.

This future retreat will provide a peaceful and welcoming sanctuary for families who may not be able to travel far from treatment centres or whose medical circumstances make traditional holidays impossible.

A place where families can rest. A place where siblings can play. A place where parents can breathe. A place where precious memories can be made when time matters most.

We’re inviting Connect 2026 attendees to support our mission and become part of the Mates on a Mission Be a Mate movement.

For just $1 a day, you can join a growing community committed to ensuring no family faces this journey alone.

In fact, it would take just 70 delegates of the Connect 2026 event to join our Be a Mate program to achieve our entire fundraising goal.

We also understand that ongoing giving isn’t for everyone, so if you’d prefer to make a one-off donation through our Just Giving fundraising page instead, we would be equally grateful for your support.

All donations of $2 or more are 100% tax deductible. Mates on a Mission is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, so your contribution will not only make a meaningful difference to families facing childhood illness, but may also provide a tax benefit at the end of the financial year.
